Man, I love the Legend of Zelda series but it makes me sad deep inside.
<personal storty rant>
When I was like 7 I would always watch my older cousins play Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. They were like masters at it. They knew all the monsters and they played though both games 1038242 times. They knew all the ins and outs and easters eggs and such. It just fascinated me. You know how many people I knew that played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask? Like none. Just them. The only people I could really talk to OOT were my cousins.

Those older cousins of mine just seemed so cool. I only got to go to their house 2 or 3 times because they lived far...so there were only a few memories.

I remember I got my copy of Ocarina of Time..like 9 years ago I think. My dad and I were able to beat the game. When my cousins would come over to my house I would show them my progress xD Everytimes I saw my cousins we would just go off about the zelda games. They would tell me stuff I didnt know that I could do in the games and such. All that good nerd talk.

Then Wind Waker came out. I couldn't wait to talk/play this with my cousins!

But then shit happened.

My cousins parents got divorced and their family was broken apart. I never really saw my cousins anymore after that. Their lives fell apart because of the divorce it.

Because their mother was a drug addict and their dad wanted nothing to do with them they ended up living with their grandparents.

I rarely heard about them. One of my cousins dropped out of school when he was older and moved to Washington to live off some of his friends.

Anddd I heard his sister just got pregnant 4 days ago

Gah. I miss them so much :c Ever miss the old part of a person? Those sweet kids I once knew changed..so much I can never stop thinking of them when I play the LoZ games now :/ Especially when I play Majora's Mask :c I can still remember that day when my cousins first showed me Majora's mask. They told me, "See Mina, you can change to a Goron when you put this mask on!"

Oh man :/ I miss my young innocent cousins.
